## How catchment works at Upton Court Grammar School

Upton Court does not draw a fixed catchment line. A score of 111 or above makes a child eligible, but does not promise a place. The school's [2027 entry policy](https://www.uptoncourtgrammar.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/UCGS-Admissions-Arrangements-2027-28.pdf) sets out the order in which offers are made.

For September 2027, eligible children are considered after EHCP admissions in this order: looked-after children, up to 20 Pupil Premium places, eligible staff children, two feeder schools, up to 120 places by 11+ score, then remaining places by proximity. A family living farther away can therefore still receive a score-ranked place. Distance matters for the remaining places and as a tie-break within some priority groups.
