# Free 11+ Maths Questions With Answers

Pip gives your child free 11+ maths questions online, marked the moment they answer, with a worked explanation every time. It suits children in Years 3 to 6 preparing for grammar school and independent school entrance tests.

## What the maths questions cover

- **Number:** place value, rounding, factors, multiples and negative numbers.
- **The four operations:** mental and written adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing.
- **Fractions, decimals and percentages:** comparing, simplifying and converting between them.
- **Geometry:** angles, shapes, area, perimeter and symmetry.
- **Measures:** time, money, length, mass and changing between units.
- **Data:** tables, bar charts, pie charts and averages.
- **Word problems:** turning a real situation into a calculation with more than one step.

## How marking works

Every answer is marked straight away. Your child sees whether it is right and a clear explanation of the method, so a wrong answer becomes something to learn from rather than just a cross. Each skill has its own Pip Score from 0 to 100. Right answers move it up, wrong answers move it down, and the score decides how hard the next question is. A skill counts as mastered at 90. If your child gets several wrong in a row, Pip eases off and offers the building block underneath first. Read more about [how the Pip Score works](https://pip11plus.com/pip-score).
