# Privacy Policy

Last updated: 13 September 2026

🔐 Plain English summary

**Your child can learn in Pip without a parent account.** Learning and progress are saved on the device.

A Pro user may optionally create a parent account for eligible family Pro access, saved-learning backup across devices and a progress dashboard at pip11plus.com. A parent chooses up to five learners to link; only information received by the account is available for viewing or restoration.

## 1\. Who we are

Pip: 11+ Practice is published by **Cyber Phoenix Ltd**, a UK-registered company with its registered office at 124-128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX. For privacy questions, contact [privacy@pip11plus.com](mailto:privacy@pip11plus.com).

## 2\. Local and account information

### Learning without an account

Pip stores learner profiles, chosen mascot appearance, year group, practice progress, rewards and preferences on the device. A parent account is not required for local learning, including using an already unlocked Pro app offline.

Deleting the app or resetting local data can remove that device's saved work. A backup can restore only information saved and uploaded by a compatible version of Pip. Update and sync the original device before relying on a second device.

### If you choose a parent account

Parent accounts are optional and are created through the Pro app where this feature is available. The website provides sign-in and password recovery for existing parent accounts, rather than registration or checkout.

When you create an account and link a learner, the account service processes:

- Your parent email address and authentication records, including information needed to sign in and recover access.
- Linked learner display names, year groups and preparation preferences.
- Uploaded practice and learning history, including app-recorded results and dates, skill scores, XP, streaks, lesson progress, vocabulary progress, mock-test history, saved plans and child-linked Jot drawings and working.
- Linked learner coin balances, unlocked items and chosen Pip appearance, synced automatically while signed in and connected.
- App-generated device identifiers and upload identifiers used to connect and distinguish saved records.
- Store purchase-verification and entitlement metadata used to check Pro eligibility and account ownership.

This information supports parent sign-in, eligible family Pro access, cross-device restoration and the dashboard of received practice summaries. While signed in, connected and eligible for Pro, linked learners' saved learning and rewards sync automatically. Existing parents can still sign in, view previously uploaded history and manage or delete the account after Pro expires; new uploads and learner linking pause. Data that never reached the account, including unsaved or older unassigned working, cannot be restored from the cloud.

The dashboard at [pip11plus.com](https://pip11plus.com/parent-account) displays results recorded by the app. It does not independently mark a child's written answers or produce exam scores.

The website keeps the parent's sign-in session in browser storage so the parent can remain signed in. Dashboard practice history is held in page memory; sign out when using a shared browser.

## 3\. What children do not need to provide

Children do not need their own email address or password. A display name or nickname is enough for a learner profile.

Parent accounts do not require a child's address, phone number, exact date of birth or precise location. The app does not use behavioural advertising or advertising identifiers for this feature.

Choosing local learning without an account does not upload that learner's practice to a parent dashboard. Store purchases and restoration still require contact with the relevant app store.

## 4\. Children and parent controls

Pip is made for children learning with their families. Purchases, account creation and learner linking belong in the parent area, behind the app's parent controls.

A parent chooses whether to create an account and which learner's local practice to link. Signing out or losing an internet connection does not by itself erase local learning or turn an already unlocked Pro app into a free app.

Account access and upload status are separate from local learning. The parent dashboard can only show records the account service has actually received.

## 5\. Services and website information

**Supabase** provides the parent-account authentication and database service. Pip's database project is configured in the London region.

**Apple and Google** handle app-store purchases under their own terms and privacy policies. Pip uses purchase-verification records to associate an eligible purchase with its parent account; the website does not collect payment-card details.

The parent sign-in, dashboard and privacy pages do not load advertising, analytics or remote-font services. None of the services below run inside the Pip app.

Nothing optional runs until you choose. The Reject all button keeps every optional cookie off, and if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal we treat it as Reject all.

#### Strictly necessary

One first-party cookie, `pip_consent`, remembers your choice for 6 months. It does not identify you.

#### Analytics (only if you allow)

Google Analytics counts visits and shows which pages help parents. Cookies: `_ga` and `_ga_*`, kept up to 2 years.

#### Advertising (only if you allow)

The Meta pixel (`_fbp`, up to 3 months) measures our Facebook and Instagram adverts. Some resource pages also show Google adverts, which set cookies such as `__gads` only if you allow advertising.

We keep a record of your choice (a random ID, the choice, the time and the page) for 3 years so we can show you gave or withdrew consent. Google and Meta process data under their own privacy policies and may transfer it outside the UK.

You can change or withdraw your choice at any time with the button below or the "Cookie settings" link in the footer. Withdrawing is as easy as giving consent.

If you email support or privacy, we receive the information you send so we can handle your request. Avoid sending a child's full name or other unnecessary personal details in a support message.

## 6\. Deleting data

### Local device data

The app's parent area has a reset control for local profiles, progress and settings. Resetting or removing the app can erase local work, so contact support before reinstalling to troubleshoot missing progress.

Account and linked learner records are kept while your account is active, unless you request deletion. Signing out pauses new uploads but does not delete records already uploaded.

Local reset and cloud-account deletion are separate actions. Uninstalling the app does not send an account-deletion request.

### Parent account and cloud practice

Where parent accounts are enabled, use the parent-account deletion control in the app to remove the account and its cloud family/practice records. If you cannot access it, contact [privacy@pip11plus.com](mailto:privacy@pip11plus.com) for help with the request.

Deleting the parent account leaves learning already stored on a device in place. It does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription; manage the subscription with the store.

A limited store purchase-claim record is retained to prevent the same purchase being claimed by an unrelated account. This includes a hashed purchase identifier; hashing does not make that record anonymous.

## 7\. Changes to this policy

We update the date and this page when the information changes. New account and upload choices are explained in the app when those features are offered.
