Privacy Policy
🔐 Plain English summary
Pip collects zero data from you or your child. Everything happens on your device. No accounts, no analytics, no ads, nothing sent to our servers (we don't have servers). If that's all you needed to know, you're done. The rest is the legal version.

1. Who we are
Pip: 11+ Practice ("Pip", "the app") is published by Cyber Phoenix Ltd, a UK-registered company.
For any privacy questions, email privacy@pip11plus.com. We reply within 7 days.
2. What information we collect
None that leaves your device.
The app stores the following information locally on your device only, using Apple's standard AsyncStorage mechanism:
- Child profile name (first name only, chosen by you)
- Avatar choice and chosen colour
- Year group (Year 4, 5, or 6)
- Per-topic SmartScore and answer history
- XP, coins, and streak counters
- Daily goal preference
- Settings (sound on/off, haptics on/off)
This information never leaves your device. We have no server. We have no database. We have no analytics provider. We cannot access your child's data even if we wanted to.
3. What we do NOT collect
- No personal information — no email, address, phone number, date of birth
- No location data
- No device identifiers — no IDFA, no IDFV, no fingerprinting
- No usage analytics — we don't know what screens you visit, what you tap, or how often you use the app
- No advertising identifiers
- No biometric data
- No camera, microphone, photo library access
- No contacts
- Nothing transmitted over the internet
The app works fully offline after install.
4. Children's privacy
Pip is designed for children aged 9–11 and published in the Kids Category on the App Store. It complies with:
- Apple App Store Review Guidelines §1.3 (Kids Category) and §5.1.4 (Kids)
- COPPA (US Children's Online Privacy Protection Act)
- UK GDPR and the UK Age-Appropriate Design Code ("Children's Code")
Because we collect no personal data, there is no parental consent process — there's nothing to consent to.
5. Third-party services
We use no third-party SDKs that collect data.
The app uses these open-source libraries that run entirely on-device:
- Expo & React Native (the cross-platform framework)
- NativeWind (styling)
- Phosphor Icons
- AsyncStorage (Apple-provided local storage)
Avatar service. Pip uses DiceBear to render avatars from fixed, non-PII seed strings (e.g. MayaB7, Ziggy3) — never your child's actual name. The seeds are hard-coded in the app; DiceBear's CDN simply returns an SVG image for each seed. DiceBear does not receive any information that could identify your child.
6. Deleting your data
You can delete all data at any time:
- Open the app
- Tap More → Parent zone (solve the maths challenge)
- Tap Reset all data
This irreversibly deletes all profiles, progress, and settings on the device. You can also delete the app from your device to remove all data.
7. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top and post the change at this URL. If the change is material (e.g. if a future version adds optional cloud sync), we'll show you a notice the next time you open the app and require fresh consent for anything new.
