Year 4–6

Five minutes a day. Real progress.

Pip is built like the apps your child already loves — bite-sized, encouraging, and addictive in the best way. Every day there are five fresh questions to do, picked across every subject.

🎯 Today's 5

Five bite-sized 11+ questions, every day.

No "where do I start?" anxiety. Pip auto-picks five questions across Maths, English, Verbal Reasoning and Non-Verbal Reasoning. Tap the activity, answer, watch the streak grow.

  • Mix across every 11+ subject
  • 50 XP daily goal (you can change it)
  • Builds a streak — don't break the chain
🧠 Adaptive difficulty

SmartScore™ — every topic learns your child.

Get a question right and the next one is harder. Get it wrong and Pip dials it back. Every skill has a 0–100 SmartScore that climbs as your child gets better. Hit 90 and the topic is mastered — Pip throws a celebration party.

  • Easy → Medium → Hard, automatically
  • Mastery medals at SmartScore 90+
  • Every skill tracked separately — see weak spots

Every 11+ subject. One app.

Pip covers all four UK 11+ subject areas with infinite procedurally-generated questions in the style of the real exam. No fixed bank to memorise — every session is fresh.

No upsells, no popups, no "free trial" traps. Pip is free, and stays free for the daily practice loop.

Frequently asked questions.

Common questions about Pip, the 11+ exam, and how online practice fits into your child's prep.

Is Pip really free?

Yes. Pip is completely free, with no ads and no in-app purchases in v1. We're a small UK family-run team — we'll add an optional Pro tier later (mock exam mode, parent reports), but the daily practice loop stays free forever.

How is Pip different from 11+ practice papers (like GL Assessment, CGP, or Bond)?

Practice papers are great for timed mock conditions, but kids memorise the answers. Pip generates fresh questions in the style of the UK 11+ exam every time, so practice never goes stale. Use Pip for daily 5-minute sessions and papers for full mock exams — they complement each other.

Does Pip cover the GL Assessment style 11+ exam?

Yes. Pip's question types mirror the GL Assessment format used by most UK grammar schools — multiple choice, numeric entry, drag-to-order, tap-all-that-apply. We don't reproduce any copyrighted GL content; every question is original and procedurally generated.

Does Pip cover CEM-style questions too?

The core skills (vocabulary, comprehension, problem solving, NVR) are the same. CEM mixes more topics into a single question, which we'll add in v1.1 as a "mixed mode".

What year groups is Pip for?

Year 4 (a year early), Year 5 (the main prep year) and Year 6 (last-minute revision before the test). Pip's adaptive difficulty means it works for every level — easier questions until SmartScore climbs, then harder ones.

Can my child use Pip without me supervising?

Yes — that's the design. The app has zero outbound links in the kid view, no ads, no chat, no social features. Sessions are short and self-contained. Settings and (future) progress reports sit behind a parental gate.

Does Pip replace an 11+ tutor?

No — but it's a brilliant complement. Tutors are great for teaching new concepts and exam technique. Pip handles the daily reps. Most parents find an hour a week with a tutor + five minutes daily on Pip is a strong combination.

What devices does Pip work on?

iPhone and iPad (iOS 16+). Android version coming after iOS launch. The app is fully offline — no internet needed after install.

Ready to make the 11+ feel doable?
