Levels and difficulty
Nine waters run from the Shallows to the Abyss. Fish start darting, golden fish pay triple, lookalike decoys swim in, and the murky water needs a lamp.
Bosses chain several questions about one hard word, such as magnanimous or tenacious, and a Daily Catch is the same for everyone that day.
Pip moves your child up when they are ready and eases off when they struggle. Each run is short and focused, so it fits before school or homework.
Every level, in the free Pip app
Vocab Fishing is free in the app, with every level and saved progress.
Tips for parents and teachers
- After a run, pick one new word and use it at dinner.
- Odd one out questions are common in 11+ verbal reasoning papers, so talk through why the odd word is odd.
- Younger child? Try Word Orchard, a calmer vocabulary game with no timer.
