Levels and difficulty
Nine layers lead down to the core, then a cave-in boss: spell three words to escape. The layers add boulders, synonym and antonym clues, falling rocks, then double letters, silent letters, ie and ei, and tricky endings like ough.
Pip moves your child up when they are ready and eases off when they struggle. Each run is short and focused, so it fits before school or homework.
Every level, in the free Pip app
Word Mine is part of Pip Pro in the app, with every level and saved progress.
Tips for parents and teachers
- When a word trips your child up, write it down and look at the tricky part together.
- Ask your child to say the word before digging: hearing it helps them spell it.
- Pair Word Mine with a printed spelling list for the week.
