Every paper is original, written in the standard 11+ multiple-choice style, with a printable answer sheet and a full worked answer key. All of them are free to print, and the longer papers work as a timed mock exam: print one, set a timer, then mark it together.
What is in the free library. There are 13 free 11+ practice papers on this page, all printable PDFs, all with a printable answer sheet and a worked answer key, and none of them behind a sign-up or an email wall.
Nine are written to a specific exam format: the Buckinghamshire Secondary Transfer Test, CSSE (Essex), Tiffin Stage One, Sutton SET, the Kent Test, the Medway Test, the ISEB Common Pre-Test, FSCE and GL Assessment.
Four are subject papers for building a single skill: English, Maths (two full papers on that page), Verbal Reasoning and Non-Verbal Reasoning. Every one of them is original practice written to the same question types the real tests use, because exam boards almost never release genuine past papers.

Which paper should my child do first?
With 13 papers in front of you the honest answer depends on one thing: whether you already know which test your child is sitting. Find your situation in the table and start there.

How to run a paper as a timed mock exam at home
A printed paper only becomes a mock exam if you run it like one. Four things make the difference, and none of them need special equipment.
Print the paper and the answer sheet
Plain A4, black and white is fine. Print the answer sheet separately and have your child use it, because transferring answers to a separate sheet is a real skill and a real source of lost marks.
Set the room and the clock
One table, no phone, rough paper and a pencil. Use the timing suggested on the paper's own page, tell your child what it is, and let them see the clock. Warn them when there are five minutes left, exactly as an invigilator would.
Mark it together afterwards
Not in silence, and not alone. Use the worked answer key and go through every wrong answer, plus anything they guessed. Ask what the question was actually asking for; a surprising share of errors are answers to a different question.
Review method, not the score
Sort the mistakes into topic gaps and method slips, because they need different fixes. Then spend the following week on the two or three things the paper exposed, rather than immediately printing another paper.
What is in every paper
Whichever paper you print, the contents follow the same pattern, so your child gets the same experience each time:
- The questions themselves, in the standard multiple choice layout with five options, laid out for clean A4 printing in black and white.
- A printable answer sheet, separate from the questions, so your child practises the transfer step that carries the marks on the day.
- A worked answer key, which explains the method behind each answer rather than only giving the letter. This is the part that makes marking together worth doing.
- No sign-up and no email wall. The PDF downloads directly, and the paper is yours to print as many times as you like at home.

Which 11+ practice paper should we do first?+
If you know the test your child is sitting, start with the matching format paper. If you do not know it yet, start with the GL Assessment style paper, since GL style multiple choice is the most widely used shape of 11+ paper, and confirm the format with the school or local authority. If you are starting early, a single subject paper untimed is a gentler introduction than a full mock. The table above covers the common situations.
Are these real 11+ past papers?+
No, and no free site can honestly claim to have them. Exam boards reuse their question banks and so rarely release complete past papers. Every paper here is original practice written to match the question types, layout and answer sheet of the real tests, which is the practical alternative.
How do I use one as a free mock exam at home?+
Print the paper and its answer sheet, sit your child at a clear table with rough paper and a pencil, use the timing given on that paper's own page, and give a five minute warning near the end. Afterwards mark it together with the worked answer key and review the method behind the mistakes rather than just the total.
Do the papers come with answer sheets as well as answer keys?+
Yes, both. The printable multiple choice answer sheet is for your child to fill in during the paper, and the worked answer key is for you to mark with afterwards. They are different documents doing different jobs.
Is there anything to practise between papers?+
