Which paper should my child do first?
Start with the test your child will sit if you know it. If not, use one untimed subject paper to learn what needs attention, then check the local admissions guidance.

How to run a paper as a timed mock exam at home
A printed paper becomes useful exam rehearsal when the setting, timing and review are deliberate. Follow these four steps, then read when mock exams help and when they do not.

Print what the format needs
Use A4 and include any separate answer sheet when the test format uses one. Some papers use written responses instead.

Set the room and clock
Choose a quiet table and follow the timing on that paper's guide. If this is a first attempt, starting untimed is fine.

Mark it together
Use the included answers or mark scheme. Revisit wrong answers and guesses, asking what method the question called for.

Practise the revealed gaps
Separate topic gaps from slips. Spend the next few sessions practising those skills in Pip before sitting another paper.
